Favoritism in hiring processes, disfunctional school boards, pressures of overcrowding and No Child Left Behind. on and on are causes and symptoms of an overall state and national disfunction when it comes to education our public. Some may think that the educational system is in a transformative stage moving towards a better model. Others see our educational system as deteriorating. Still others see it as symptomatic of the slow decay of the social and cultural construct of our society. Still education is the preparation of our citizens to take charge and manage our world.
What are your feelings about the educational system in Taos, good or bad. Comments about the Taos Municipal School experience, the Charter school experience, or Taos private schools or Tech schools are encouraged.
